William Chiras, Jr., 80 of Chester, NH died Sunday September 18, 2005 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. Mr. Chiras was born in Oerlios, Lithuania on June 21, 1925 a son of the late William and Mary (Musikieviteutas) Chiras, Sr. Mr. Chiras was a U.S. Army WWII veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He had resided in Chester since 1979, formerly living in Derry. He always enjoyed his summers spent in Wells, Maine. He was the owner and operator of Bill’s Buy-Rite in Derry for more than 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gloris F. (Cote) Chiras of Chester, two daughters, Debra A. Chiras of Chester, Lynne V. Donahue of Derry, two sons, William Chiras III of Chester, Paul V. Chiras and his wife Elena of Franklin, NH, four granddaughters, Christine A. Donahue and Erica R. Donahue both of Derry, Renee N. Milhomme of Franklin, Victoria L. Chiras of Chester, also several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, private memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling arrangements.
