Mrs. Eileen M. (Beaulieu) Masse, of Taunton, died Saturday, May 6 at her residence following a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred L. Masse. She was born 93 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Magnon) Beaulieu. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, Eileen had been employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Morton Hospital for 30 years. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton.
She leaves: 2 sons: Roland Masse and his wife, Celia of W. Palm Beach, Fla., and Alfred Masse and his wife, Karleen of Taunton; 1 daughter: Janice Simmons and her husband, Frederick of Taunton; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Eileen was also the mother of the late Linda Lavelle, and sister of the late Noella Walsh, Blanche Starvish, Rita Alvarnaz, Jeannette Lehouillier, Dora Morin, Armand, Roland, Robert, and Albert Beaulieu
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Thursday, May 11 at 10:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, East Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the funeral, Thursday, from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M.
