Raffaela DeLuca, age 92, of Medford for over sixty years, formerly of East Boston, passed away at the Winchester Hospital, September 16th, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfonso R. DeLuca. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Carmella (Coviello) and Lorenzo Giangregorio.
Mrs. DeLuca was devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and being with her grandsons. She worked for over forty years cooking for the Seiler´s Catering Company of Boston which catered for large functions in and arround Boston for many dignitaries, sports celebrities, the Cardinal and even the Pope.

In addition to her late husband and parents, Raffaela is predeceased by her brother Lawrence “Larry” Giangregorio and sisters Rose Ely and Sabina ”Sally” Catino. She is survived by her son Francis “Frank” A. DeLuca and his wife Susan of Medford. Frank has been very active with South Medford Little League for many years. She is also survived by her grandsons, Francis A. Jr. and Peter Alfonso DeLuca. She is further survived by her brother Arthur Giangregorio of East Boston.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday, at 10 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St. Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 2 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
