LOWELL - C. Diana Montuori, age 73, a resident of the Belvidere section of the city for the past twenty-five years, died peacefully Friday morning, May 5, at her home, in the loving care of her family and hospice, after an extended illness.
She was born in Winthrop in April 1944, the daughter of the late Aniello and Rose (Lavorgna) Montuori, and raised in East Boston. She graduated from East Boston High School. Diana worked as an office manager for A.B.M. Company at Logan Airport for the past 36 years.
She devoted her life to raising her daughter as a single Mom, and was especially proud of her three granddaughters.
Diana was a passionate Red Sox and N.E. Patriots sports fan.
She leaves her daughter, Roseanne M. Shimkus and her husband James of Lowell, with whom she resided; her beloved granddaughters, Andrea, Jessica and Allison Shimkus all of Lowell, who also shared her home; her sister-in-law, Grace Montuori of Saugus; many nieces, nephews, and adopted grandchildren.
Diana was predeceased by her brothers, Michael Montuori and Lawrence Montuori and his wife Thelma.
