Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Loretta M. (Ferraro) Walsh, a resident of Tewksbury since March, died Thursday, September 15, 2005 at the Lowell General Hospital.
She was the wife of Edward J. Walsh, with whom she would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on September 23rd.
Born in Medford on May 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Michael A. and Gilda (DiGirolamo) Ferraro.
Mrs. Walsh attended Medford schools and graduated from Medford High School in 1948.
Prior to moving to Tewksbury in March of this year, she lived for 22 years in the Laconia and Alton Bay area of New Hampshire. Mrs. Walsh previously lived in Westford and Billerica. While living in New Hampshire, she was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Parish of Laconia.
Mrs. Walsh dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family.
In earlier years, she was employed by Murray’s Printing Company of Westford.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter; Loretta M. Bemis and her husband Francis of Tewksbury; two sons; Edward J. Walsh, II of Salisbury and Michael D. Walsh of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her twin sister; Aida Imperioso and her husband Ramo of Medford; six grandchildren; Francis J. Bemis, Jr., Valerie A., Jennifer M. and Stephany L. Bemis all of Tewksbury, USMC Staff Sgt. David M. Walsh and his wife Julie currently stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford and Daniel E. Walsh of Ayer; two great grandchildren; Alec J.and Michael L.Walsh of Bedford; also five nieces and two nephews.
Mrs. Walsh was the sister of the late Anthony V. Ferraro, formerly of Rochester, New Hampshire.
Calling hours Sunday, September 18th from 2-4 p.m. and Monday, September 19th from 6-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Tuesday, 10 a.m., from the funeral home. Funeral Mass Tuesday, 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 144 E. Merrimack St., Lowell. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 are requested
