WORCESTER___Eva C. Wilk, 88, of Natick, formerly of Worcester died at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick on September 11, 2005 after a long illness. Her husband of 56 years, Thaddeus J. “Ted” Wilk died in 1988. Eva was born in Worcester the daughter of the late Anthony and Eva (Juskavitch) Volungavitch and lived there most of her life.
She leaves four daughters, Phyllis A. Johnson of Auburn; Joyce W. Mastroianni of Melrose; Melanie B. Tinsley of West Brookfield and Laurie Wilk Tuomy of Framingham; a sister, Julia Fitzmaurice of Millbury; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Stanley A. Wilk, a sister, Helen Volungavitch and a brother, Joseph Volungavitch.
Eva was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Vilna parish in Worcester. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She will be remembered for her zest for life and her devotion to her children and grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Thursday morning September 15 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Vilna Church, 151 Sterling St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA., 02472.
