New Bedford – Dorilla M. (Masse) Protin, 100, of Welaka, Florida died after a brief illness at St. Luke’s Hospital on September 11, 2005. She was the widow of George L. Protin.
Mrs. Protin was born in Wauregan, Connecticut, daughter of the late Joseph and Sophronie (Davignon) Masse, and resided in E. Freetown most of her life, living the past year in Florida. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Emelie J. Ashley of Welaka, FL, Joan Kendrick of E. Freetown and Yvette Ashley of Berkley, MA; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 8 great great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
At the request of the family, her services will be private.
