Lawrence V. Perry, age 94, of Taunton, passed away on April 3, 2017 at Morton Hospital with his family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of the late Annie (Soares) Perry.
Lawrence was born in Taunton, a son of the late Joseph V. and Maria (Alves) Perry.
Before retirement, Mr. Perry was employed as a General Foreman at Foxboro State Hospital for over 25 years, and prior to that he was a self- employed carpenter.
He loved to sing, spend time with his family and will be missed deeply.
Mr. Perry is survived by his son Kevin Perry and his wife Debra of Taunton; a brother Edward Perry ; three grandchildren, Keith and Kyle Perry, and Kimberly and her husband Thad Parmenter all of Taunton; a great granddaughter Heather Ann Parmenter and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Lawrence M. Perry and Patricia A. Gentes; and the brother of the late Charles and Joseph Perry, Elsie (Perry) Santos, Mary “Mae” Parker, and Emily Vieira.
His funeral will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 9:00 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) in Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Anthony Church School St, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
