AUBURN-Laura K. (Maki) Bylund, 89, of 19 Bylund Avenue died, Friday, September 9th in Clark Manor Nursing Home. Her husband Conrad J. W. Bylund died in 1981. She leaves her son; William J. Bylund, and 3 grandchildren; Torr W. Bylund, Evan Scott William Bylund and Naomi Kathryn Jean Bylund all of Auburn.
She was born in Hancock, MI, the daughter of John and Kathryn (Hautamaki) Maki and had lived in New Hampshire for many years before moving to Worcester and then to Auburn. Mrs. Bylund had worked as a cook, hostess and a domestic for many prominent area families. She retired from E. J. Cross as Executive Chef after many years of service. She was a member of the Scandinavia-American Club, and enjoyed collecting, cake decorating, dancing, ceramics and walking.
