Simonne E. Sylvestre 88, of 315 Robinson St Woonsocket died Thursday in the Hebert Nursing Home in Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Alphonse Sylvestre. Mrs. Sylvestre was born in Manville RI a daughter of the late Alexandre and Arzenie (Gosselin) Bergeron. Mrs. Sylvestre was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Ann’s Choir and the RSVP Chorale.
Mrs. Sylvestre is survived by a two sons Raymond Sylvestre of N. Smithfield, Roger Sylvestre of Woonsocket, four sisters Lorraine Bourassa of Chestnut Hill, MA Jacqueline Tondreau of Harrisville, Suzanne Fuller of N. Attleboro, and Jeannine Bonollo of Smithfield, seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Robert, Gerard and Lucille Sylvestre, and sister of the late Alexandre, Alphonse, Armand, Arthur, Arsene, Alexandrina, Arzenie Bergeron, Rose Gauvin, Adelia Moreau, and Lucienne Brouillette.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in All Saints Church Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Buiral will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting Hours Sunday 4-8 PM
