
Somerset – Francis L. “Frank” Peckham, 83, of Westport died Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center. He was the husband of Helen B. (Dusza) Peckham.
He was born in Cohasset, MA, son of the late Francis M. “Frank” and Emily (DeMello) Peckham and had resided in Westport since 1950. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army Air Force as an airplane mechanic. Mr. Peckham was the owner and operator of the former Peckham’s Garage of Fall River for over 20 years. He was a former member of the Star Riders Motorcycle Club of Rhode Island.
Including his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters: Frances C. Bailey of Narragansett, RI and Barbara A. Crowther of Little Compton; a brother: Edward Peckham of Norton, MA; 2 sisters: Elizabeth Murphy of Dartmouth and Helen Farrell of Somerset; 4 grandchildren: Keith D. Bailey, Christine N. Rugg, Cheryl A. Tammaro and Cara L. Oliveira; 4 great grandchildren: Alexander M. Bailey, Jessica X. Tammaro, Jasmine C. Tammaro and Devin G. Oliveira; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late William Peckham and Thomas Peckham.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, September 10, 2005 at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Friday 5 – 8 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
