Obituary

Edward L. Price, 86, a resident of Derry, NH, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Aurora Senior Living, Derry.
Edward was born in Arlington, MA on April 17, 1930, a son of the late Chesley and Violet Price.

He was a member of the United States Marine Corp. Marching Band. He worked for Bill Ela’s Plumbing in Derry for many years, before going into Barbering owning “Clarkies Barbershop” in Derry, retiring in 1997. Edward was one amazing craftsman building, doll houses, cradles, tables, benches and everything out of wood. His hobbies also include paintings, photography, the love for airplanes and taking trips to Las Vegas with his wife Jean. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and his family meant the world to him.

He is survived by his wife, Jean (Clark) Price of Derry, his son, Steven E. Price of Exeter, his daughter, Sandra (Price) Eaton and her husband Brian J. Eaton of Derry as well as four grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Merrow of Maine; James Merrow and his wife Rene’ of Derry and Tiffany Eaton of Derry. He is also survived by five great- grandchildren Kahleb, Devin and Jenna all from Maine and Blake and Aisley of Derry as well as nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great- nephews. Edward is survived by his four brothers Will, Allen, Fred, Peter Price. He was predeceased sisters, Lil Stevens, Dorothy Gorham and Bett Freeman.

Calling hours were held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A funeral service followed at 12:00 pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
