Esther K. (Nordfors) Carlson, 85, of 65 Briarwood Circle, formerly of Royalston and Auburn passed away on September 4th, 2005 at home.
Her husband of 45 years, Ralph E. Carlson, passed away in 1997. She leaves a sister and brother in law, Lillian and Karl Lundell of Worcester, a brother and sister in law, Edwin and Ann Nordfors of E. Templeton, and many cousins.
She was born in Winchendon, daughter of G. Waino and Amanda (Karjalainen) Nordfors and graduated from Templeton High School and the former Katherine Foley Ward Secretarial School. Esther was a supervisor at the Mellville Shoe Corporation for 35 years and was also a volunteer receptionist at Briarwood. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, VASA Lodge, and The Rein Heiger Lodge. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and helping others.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September, 7th in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. A calling hour will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
