TEWKSBURY - Blanche (Moccia) DeDeo, age 91, died Friday afternoon, May 31, at theWingate of Andover, where she had been in residence for the last 9 years. She was wife of thelate Denis D. DeDeo, who died on May 30, 1993.

She was born in Everett, August 14, 1910, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria Louisa(Medungo) Moccia, and was raised in Everett. She had lived on Jay Street in Tewksbury since1955.

She was active in St. William’s Parish activities and was a member of the Blessed Virgin MarySodality. In her earlier years, she was active in town politics and also as a Brownie Leader. Inher later years she was active at the Tewksbury Senior Drop-in Center, and in crafts and music,and was also a pianist.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Edwards-Flynn and Jack Flynn of LasVegas, N.M., two sisters, Sally Coluntino and Mary Barisano both of Everett, four grandchildren,Margaret Ann Locke of Stoneham, Gregory White of Brighton, Jeffrey White of Melrose andJennifer White of Somerville, six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Liam, Calvin, Sophia, Jacquelyn, andCameron, and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral was held Tuesday, June 4 in St. William’s Church. Interment was inTewksbury cemetery.
