Obituary

Rosenfield, Gerald D. , also known as Jerry Fields, age 85, of Mattapan, passed away peacefully in the company of his loving family February 19th. Born in Boston, Mr. Rosenfield grew up in Roxbury and graduated from Dorchester High School and Newbury College. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a man of many talents and interests. For over 35 years he and his wife performed as professional Magicians known as “The Amazing Fields” with shows of Magic and Illusion. He ran Fields Agency, entertainment specialists from 1970 thru 2005. He was past President and a longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, past President of Ring No. 122, Boston; a member of the Society of American Magicians Herman Hanson Assembly, No. 9, Boston and was Past President and Founder of the New England Magic Collectors Association, Mr. Rosenfield was also a retired employee of Stoddards of Boston and formerly worked for Camfour, Westfield. An avid fisherman and hunter, he co-founded the United Fly Tyers, Inc. He also served as past President and longtime member of the Hi Parkers organization, Hyde Park. He was the beloved husband of Anna M. (Casali) Rosenfield, devoted father of Denise of Rockland and Cheryl of East Bridgewater, and the cherished grandfather of Elizabeth, Luke, Lena and Max. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Friday February 24th at 1 PM. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 23rd from 4 to 8PM. Donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
