SWANSEA - Mario Reis, age 59, of Swansea, passed away on Thursday February 16, 2017. Born in Candelaria, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Domingos Sousa and Anna (Taveira) Reis. He was formerly the part owner of Reis Bakery where he worked for many years, and enjoyed spending time with his family and his fellow residents.
He is survived by his son Daniel Reis, his siblings; Manuel, Antonio, Joseph Reis, Mary Lou Rodrigues, Margarida Pavao, Otilia “Tillie” Matos, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Maria Carmo Costa.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Monday from 4-7 P.M.
