Alfred W. “Freddie” Caruso, of Medford, died Tuesday after a brief illness at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was 49.
Born and raised in Somerville, Freddie worked as a painter and lived in Medford for the past 35 years.
He was the cherished son of Dolores (Parilla) and the late William P. Caruso. He was a devoted brother to Rosemarie “Chickie” Smithers and her husband Mark of Medford, Lawrence Caruso of Medford, Laura Accaputo and her husband John of Windham, NH. He was a loving uncle to 5 nieces and 1 nephew. He was a dear nephew of Joseph and Ann Parilla, Robert and Patricia Caruso, James Parilla, Maryann Goroshko and is also survived by many cousins and friends.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Saint Clement Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours Thursday 4 –8. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
