Rose M. (Carchidi) Fossella, 91, died August 30 at the LifeCare Center in W. Bridgewater. She was the wife of the late George S. Fossella. Born in Brockton, she was a graduate of Brockton Schools and was a communicant of St. Edward’s Church in Brockton. Mrs. Fosella worked as an assembler for Ace Surgical Supplies in Brockton for many years. She was a member of the Italian Women’s Club and the Novelli Club. In her free time, she loved dancing, bowling, walking, knitting and cooking. She also enjoyed going on cruises.
She is survived by her children: Dolores St. Germaine and her husband William of Brockton, Robert Fossella and his wife Patricia of Stoughton and George Fosella and his wife Marie of Easton. She was the sister of Anna DiNunno of Whitman, Samuel Carchidi of Pocasset, Marie Friesen of Easton and the late Angie Crowe and Jennie Vella. Mrs. Fossella is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E. Main St., Brockton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 4-7 PM. Donations in Rose’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc, 36 Cameron Ave, Cambridge, 02139. Burial will be private.
