James R. Morris, age 57, of West Bridgewater, passed away February 8, 2017, after a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, James was the son of late Richard J. Morris and Lillienne M. (Hunter) Days. He was raised in Brockton and Bridgewater. James loved watching all Boston sports teams and old movies. He enjoyed cooking, playing cards and cribbage and crossword puzzles. He will be remembered as a man with a great sense of humor who beat to his own drum. James was very proud of his family, especially his two daughters.
James was the loving father of Tina Morris of Brockton and Nicole Seifert and her husband Ryan of Braintree. Grandfather of Miliana Rosario and great grandfather of Sebastian Thevenin. Brother of Janice Troy and her husband David of Savannah, GA; Deborah Noyes and her husband Dana of West Bridgewater; Sandra Haynes and her husband Kevin of Bridgewater and Mark Days of Taunton. James also leaves his stepmother Delores “Dolly” Morris of Brockton and his step-siblings Theresa Sullivan of Fall River; Michael Sullivan of Halifax; John Sullivan of Taunton; Robert Sullivan of Plymouth; and Bethanne Sullivan of Brockton and his dear friend Patricia McElaney of Bridgewater. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday, February 11, 2016 from 3-6pm, with a funeral service starting at 5:30pm. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to an animal rescue or cancer research charity of one’s choice.
