William P. Kitovich Jr., 63, of Chicopee passed on Sunday January 29th doing what he loved most, fishing. He was introduced to fishing by his dad as a young boy, from then on he was hooked. He was born on Aug. 9th 1953, a lifelong resident of Chicopee. He was predeceased by his Father William Sr. and his Mother Janet (Graham) Kitovich., and sister Linda Metcalf. He leaves his sister Susan Sullivan of Chicopee; 3 brothers, John Kitovich of Springfield, Craig Kitovich of Longmeadow, and Bruce Kitovich of New York City. He was an uncle to Sarah Fisher, Matthew Walas, Jeremy Metcalf, Graham and Jillian Kitovich, Hunter and Trey Terlik, Ella Shaw, and Chloe Canty. Bill received his degree from STCC in civil engineering. After working for 50 years of his life, most recently at Super Brush in Indian Orchard, he retired in September 2016. Bill kept a daily gratitude journal thanking his lifelong friends, neighbors, and family. Especially he thanked Steve & Kathy, Bud, Buddha, Geno, TC, Tom S., Dowdy, Laura & Zychy, Eddie & Sandy. Billy loved God and thanked him daily. Calling hours will be held on Fri., Feb. 10, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 p.m at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee.
