DANVERS – Czeslaw Marchwinski, 66, of Danvers, husband of Leokadia “Lodzia” (Andrejaszko) Marchwinski, died Wednesday evening, February 1, 2017 at his residence following a long illness.
Born in Gracze, Poland, he was the son of the late Michal and Anna (Kondrat) Marchwinski.
He worked in Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany prior to coming to the USA. He was employed as a Process Engineer and Project Manager at AT&T and Lucent Technologies from 1987 to 2001, followed by multiple roles as a Manufacturing Engineer through 2015 at companies including IntegraTECH, Solutions, Sanmina-SCI, SynQor and Suntron Corporation.
He was a member of the Danvers Fish & Game and a longtime Parishioner of the St. John the Baptist Church in Salem. He loved to go salmon fishing in upstate New York, enjoyed dancing, music, and playing instruments, especially the accordion. He was very talented, handy and loved to make people laugh.
Besides his wife, with whom he shared 30 years of marriage, he is survived by two sons, Adam Marchwinski and Philip Marchwinski of Boston, a sister Irena Dziedzic, and her two sons, Daniel and Patrick of New Hampshire, three brothers, Kazik Marchwinski, Zbyszek Marchwinski, and Janek Marchwinski, all of Poland, and two cousins, Jozefa Nowak of Poland and Wojciech Nowak of Oregon, in addition to other family members in Poland.
His funeral service will be held Monday, February 6, 2017 at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral mass at 10 am at the St. John the Baptist Church, Salem. Visiting hours are Sunday, Noon to 3 pm at the funeral home. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
