Elizabeth R. (Ryan) Sloan, 84, died Friday Morning at the Blue Hills Alzheimer’s Care Center in Stoughton after a long illness. Born in Cambridge, she was educated in Cambridge Schools. She was a graduate of the Metropolitan LPN School. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at a the Emerson Nursing Home in Watertown for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, vacationing in New Hampshire and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Patricia Petti of Sharon formerly of Brockton, Walter B. Sloan of NH, Judith A. Fasci of Weymouth, Janice F. Weisman of CT and the late Sandra Albright. She was the sister of the late Joseph, Richard and John Ryan, Mary Boyd, Catherine Couture, Susan Hanrahan and Helen Barksdale. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 3-7 PM. Donations in Elizabeth’s name may be made to the Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, 02368. Burial will be at Cavary Cemetery, Brockton.
