Milton - Mary C. (Callahan) Byron passed away on January 16, 2017, her loving family by her side. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of St. Gregory High School, Dorchester. Mary was a resident of Milton since 1979. She was an avid Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots fan. Beloved wife of Robert J. (ret. Lt. MFD). Devoted mother of Megan A. Vaccaro and her husband, Stephan and Christopher R. Byron (M.F.D.) and his wife, Maura all of Quincy. Grandmother of Nicholas and Colin DePalma, Abigail Vaccaro and Brendan Byron. Sister of Michael of Hanover, Patricia of Milton, James of Quincy and Edmund Callahan of Hull, Julie Healy of FL and the late Thomas and Fr. Neil Callahan, S.J. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church, Milton Saturday morning at 11. Visiting Hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave. Milton Friday 4 to 8.
