Kenneth E. DeRoche, 56 of Derry, NH died Wednesday August 24, 2005 in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. Ken was born in Lawrence, MA on October 11, 1948, a son of the late Kenneth C. and Marion (Houle) DeRoche. Ken had resided in Derry for the past 20 years, formerly living in Massachusetts. Ken was employed as a horseshoer for 20 years and had currently been teaching blacksmithing in Derry for the past four years. Ken was a current member of N.E.B.A. (New England Blacksmiths Association) and served as Past President of S.N.E.F.A. (Southern New England Farriers Association).
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Charlene (Roussell) DeRoche of Derry, two daughters, Amy DeRoche of Nashua, NH, Amanda DeRoche and her husband Tony Brooks of Arlington, VA, two sisters, Joyce Casaceli and Dottie Belanger both of Florida. There are also many beloved nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday August 26th from 6 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sonshine Food Pantry, C/O the First Baptist Church, 4 Crystal Avenue, Derry, NH 03038.
