OXFORD – Robert L. Lifer, Sr., 81, formerly of 1 Patton St., died Wednesday, August 24, in Webster Manor. His wife of 55 years, Lorraine E. (Borus) Lifer, died in 2003.
He leaves a son, Robert L. Lifer, Jr. of Dudley; 2 daughters, Diane E. and her husband Terrence O’Brien of Melbourne, FL, and Laurie Ann Logan of Maryland; a sister, Jane Cochran of Ohio; six grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
He was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, a son of Leslie A. and Lucy T. (Swigert) Lifer, and moved to Oxford in 1950.
Mr. Lifer worked as a stationary fireman for St. Vincent’s Hospital for 22 years retiring in 1992. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
No funeral services are planned. There are no calling hours.
