Rhea H. (Fontaine) Proulx, 94, of Westport, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Normand F. Proulx.
Mrs. Proulx was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Ernest and Lillian (Levitre) Fontaine and had lived in Westport for most of her life. She was a communicant of St. George, Westport. She felt her greatest achievements in life were hard work, her children and her garden.
Survivors include her son: Denis Proulx of Westport; her daughter: Carol Hanna and her husband William of Taunton; 2 brothers: Russell Fontaine and his wife Lucille of Swansea and Joseph Fontaine and his wife Cecile of Westport; her sister: Joan Marques and her husband John of Westport; 4 grandchildren: William Hanna, Andrew Hanna, Brian Proulx and David Proulx; 6 great grandchildren: Logan Belcourt, David Proulx, Ella Hanna, Max Hanna, Ethan Hanna and Oliver Proulx; along with several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. George Church, Westport at 9:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Friday at the Potter Funeral Home from 5-7 P.M.
Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
