Nancy T. Patterson, 67, of Londonderry, NH, died Monday, August 22, 2005 at her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Patterson was born in Lowell, MA on September 2, 1937, a daughter of the late Edward J. and Teresa K. (McClellan) Saunders. She was a resident of Londonderry for 30 years, formerly living in Bowie, MD. She graduated from Regis College and taught elementary school for three years to USAF children in Misawa, Japan. Mrs. Patterson retired after teaching 1st and 2nd grades at Matthew Thornton Elementary School in Londonderry for 20 years. During her teaching career she also tutored students and belonged to the National Education Association. She was a communicant of St. Mark’s Church in Londonderry, where she was an active member. She served as a helping hand to those in need. She loved gardening and cross stitching. Her grandson, Michael, was the light of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Pat Patterson of Londonderry, two daughters, Kathie Patterson and Elizabeth Anderson and her husband Steven, and a grandson, Michael Anderson, all of Londonderry.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00AM Friday, August 26th in St. Mark's Church, 3 South Road, Londonderry. The burial followed in St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury, MA. There were no calling hours. The Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry handled the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mother Teresa's Missions or St. Jude's Ranch for Children, 100 St. Jude's St., Boulder City, NV 89005-1618.
