Ida L. Miner, 96, of Tifton, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Friday, January 6, 2017, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with Elder Tom Deal and Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, from 1:30 PM until 3 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Miner was born August 11, 1920, in Georgia, to the late Alonza & Mary Paulk Tucker. She was a very positive and encouraging lady who was strong in her faith and never met a stranger. Mrs. Miner loved to shop and was always full of laughter. She was a member of Tifton Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: William Damon Myers & Linda Carol of Tifton, Shirley Myers Jordan & Robert Ed of Tifton and Judy Myers Bellamy & Larry E., Sr. of Fitzgerald; a daughter-in-law, Sheila Myers of Athens; grandchildren: Richard Mark Myers, Tara Jordan Gallagher & Joseph David, Tina Myers, Wesley Ray & Lisa Swanson Myers, Sandy Bellamy Smith, and Larry Bellamy, Jr. & Andrea and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Waldo Myers, her second husband, Paul Eugene Miner; a son, Jerry Ray Myers, a grandson, Joel Keith Myers; three brothers and nine sisters.
