Lucille Fay (Burtchell) McLoughlin, age 83 of Raynham, passed away on January 4, 2017 at Life Care Center of Raynham.
Mrs. McLoughlin was born in Fort Field, ME; one of three daughters (the late Beverly Burtchell and the late Joyce Millington) of the late Reuben and Myrtle (Berry) Burtchell.
In the early 1950’s, Lucille moved to Brockton, MA and became employed as a telephone operator with the telephone company. During the early 1970’s, Lucille worked for Attorney Jennings as a legal secretary. When Jennings retired in the 1980’s, she started a new career working for Leading Edge Computers as an operator.
After her retirement, Lucille continued working for the Brockton Housing Authority as a secretary and volunteered as a reading coach for first and second graders at the Huntington School in a program called “Leap for Literacy” and was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for a successful program.
Lucille is survived by her Daughter and Son-In-Law, Karen and Joe Inglis of Taunton; two Granddaughters, Kristin Inglis of Taunton and Sarah Fleenor of Quincy; and a Greatgrandson, Jacob Fleenor.
Her family is proud of her life’s achievements and her accomplishments as a single mother. She will be sorely missed.
Private funeral services were held with the Silva Funeral Home of Taunton.
