Mrs. Helen B. (Brzostek) Moreno, of Taunton and formerly of Raynham, died Tuesday, January 3 in Marian Manor following a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Moreno. She was born 95 years ago in Clinton, Ma., the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Bugnacka) Brzostek. She was educated in Lowell and had been a Raynham resident for 52 years. Prior to her retirement, Helen had been employed as a clerk for the Mass. Department of Transitional Assistance for 20 years. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo and spending time with her family.
She leaves: 1 son: Alexander Moreno and his wife, Cheri of Cummings, Ga.; 1 daughter: Martha Hendrickson and her husband John of Raynham; 1 sister: Irene Schultz and her husband, Rudolph of Pepperell, Ma.; 2 granddaughters: Rowyn and Taryn Moreno, and several nieces and nephews. Helen was also the sister of the late Florence Nelson and Joseph Brzostek.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
