
Laconia-------Daniel Brian Romprey Sr. 55, of Elm Street passed away unexpectedly in his home due to natural causes, Monday, January 2, 2017 with his loving family by his side.
Daniel was born November 19, 1961 in Laconia, NH son to the late Donald J. and Patricia B. (Benoit) Romprey. He worked for over 9 years at Winnipesaukee Security and was previously a mechanic by trade for many years at Irwin Motors. He was a gun enthusiast and collector, having been a long time member of the National Rifle Association and he also gave to many charitable organizations.
Daniel loved music and was a drummer in many different local bands throughout the years. In his youth he was a member of The Lakes Region Drum and Bugle Corps. He also was an avid New England sports fan, rooting especially for the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Daniel is survived by his son, Daniel B. Romprey Jr. of Laconia; two daughters, Mary J. McDevitt and her husband, Aaron of Nashua and Amelia Romprey and her fiancé Tazz Simoneau of Laconia; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Ruby and Syrentity-Sage; two brothers, Mark Romprey and his wife, Shari of Belmont and Christopher Sottak and his wife, Luda of Kyrgyzstan; four sisters, Rebecca Alder and her husband Robert of Bradenton, FL, Donna Berry of Bristol, NH, Leigh TIlton of Laconia and Tari Woodlock and her husband, Ken of Ruskin, FL, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife, Dawn (Freymouth) Romprey and his brother-in-law, Walter Berry.
Burial will be Friday, January 6, 2017 at 1:00pm at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 1:00-3:00pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 1:00pm at the Beane Conference Center, 35 Blueberry Lane, Laconia, NH.
