James Palmariello, of Medford, formerly of Arlington, died Saturday at Life Care Center, Stoneham. He was 82.
Mr. Palmariello was born and raised in Somerville, the son of the late Vincenzo and the late Marianna (Carbone) Palmariello. He served with the Army in Europe during World War II. After the War he settled in Arlington and became came supervisor of custodians for the Town of Arlington.
He was the beloved husband of Clotilde (Martins). He was a devoted father to Susan Goggin and her husband Maurice of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to James Goggin and his wife Josephine of Methuen, Daniel Goggin of Medford, Dina Miles and her husband Gary of Londonderry, NH and great-grandfather of Kayla. He was the brother of the late Grace Flaherty, Pasquale Palmariello and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday morning 9 - 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
