Karen Sue (Phillips) Mills, 72, of Cookeville, Tennessee died December 31, 2016 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis after a sudden illness.
Karen was born, August 2, 1944 in Anderson where she graduated from Anderson High School. She was a dental assistant and office manager.
Karen was a member of Caney Fork Baptist Church in Cookeville, TN.
She enjoyed cooking and reading and was a member of a book club. Karen loved caring for her cats and dogs in her Cookeville home with her husband. Karen was a master of the sale and loved garage sale-ing especially in the company of her family.
Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Paul Mills, two daughters, Tracy (Tom) Ashcraft and Anna "Lori" Lebitsch; five grandchildren, Ashlee Mras, Jessica Cornillie, Stephen Kilpatrick, Ella Lebitsch and Devon Ashcraft; five great grandchildren, Tyler, Aurora, Makayla, Keegan and Caleb; four brothers , Dante (Connie) Phillips, Alan Phillips, Mark (Rhonda) Phillips and Chris (Robyn) Phillips, her sister, Shari Cady; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Deloris Musick Hamilton and her father, Otis Phillips and her brother, Scott Phillips.
Services will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with burial in East Maplewood Cemetery visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday.
