Douglas J. “Doug” Miville, 50, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Saturday December 31, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. Doug was born in Manchester on June 15, 1966 and was a son of the late Fernand Miville and Priscilla (Daigle) Light. He was a lifelong resident of the Londonderry area. Doug was employed as a Postal Carrier for the past 27 years in the Londonderry office. He was an avid hiker having conquered 39 of the 4000' peaks in New Hampshire. Doug also enjoyed running and amongst others, he completed both the Boston and New York marathons.
Doug will forever be remembered for his caring nature and affinity for others. He always put the needs of his family and friends first and brightened everyone's day with his unique sense of humor.
Doug leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Stephanie Miville who he met in 1976, and his son Griffin, his mother and her husband Priscilla and Alcide Light, his brother, David Domanski-Miville, three sisters, Diane Flaherty, Donna Doucet and Deann Mailman, his mother-in-law, Pamela Wichelns, brother-in-law, Mark Wichelns and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
After cremation, an hour of visitation was held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 4 to 5pm, with a celebration of his life at 5pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canine Commitment of New England, 733 Bedford Road, New Boston, NH 03070.
