AUBURN___Walter J. Sztuka, Jr. died Saturday, August 20, 2005 in his home.
He leaves three sisters, Anna Aksten, Helen Painchaud and Sophie Pogorzelski and several nieces and nephews He was predeceased by six brothers, Stephen, Boleslaw "Ben", Stanley, John, Tadeus and Joseph Sztuka. He was born in Oxford, son of Walter and Amelia (Klutka) Sztuka and lived in Worcester and Auburn most of his life.
Mr. Sztuka graduated from Worcester Boys’ Trade High School. He worked for Wyman Gordon Company in Worcester and North Grafton and retired several years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish Worcester and a former member of the Polish American Veterans of World War II.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, August 23, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, in the funeral home.
