Groton- Henry Roscoe Singer, 66, of 205 G. Street, died August 20, 2005 at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 1, 1938 in Ledyard CT, the son of Dorothea Barkowsky and the late Henry E. Singer.
He married Marion (Lamb) June 17, 1961 at the Ledyard Congregational Church.
He worked as an equipment operator for the State of CT Department of Transportation for 35 years, retiring in 1992. After his retirement he worked at NAPA Autoparts Store in Groton.
He loved to watch Nascar racing and bowling.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter Lori-Ann Yuhas, by his brothers George, Rodney and Michael Singer, by his sisters Charlene Singer and Suzette Singer, by his grandchildren Patrick and Jeffrey Yuhas and by several nieces and nephews.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St. historic downtown Mystic on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 am at the Lambtown Cemetery in Ledyard.
Memorial donations in Henry Singer’s memory may be made to the VNA of SE CT, 403 North Frontage Road, Waterford CT 06385, to the L&M Hospital Emergency Dept. or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
