Paul E. Marseglia 65, of Franklin, died peacefully, at his home Sunday October 30, 2016 following an illness.
Born in Boston, May 19, 1951 a son of the late Angelo J. and Marie R. (Valinote) Marseglia, he was a former longtime resident of Roslindale, before moving to Franklin in 1998.
He was raised in Roslindale and was a 1969 graduate of Brighton High School. Paul worked as a fleet mechanic for the former New England Telephone and retired from Verizon in 2009.
Paul enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles, his corvettes, and was passionate about all animals, especially dogs. He also collected Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.
He was a member of the Massachusetts Telephone Workers Union, and a founding member of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, which displays a Corvette donated to them by Paul.
He is survived by a brother Robert J. Marseglia and his wife Andrea of Franklin, a nephew Rob J. Marseglia of Chicago, aunt Grace Marseglia of Mansfield, and cousins, Maria McGuiness of Mansfield, Angela Marseglia of Randolph, Nanette Diaute of Dedham, Thomas Pope of Dover and William Pope of West Roxbury.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Friday Nov. 4th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 10AM.
Interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, Roslindale will be held at a later date.
Calling hours are Thurs. from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
