Julia (Perry) Pina, age 94 , a lifelong Taunton Resident, passed away on December 23, 2016 at Marian Manor.
She was the beloved wife of the late George Pina, Sr.
Julia was born in Dighton, a daughter of the late Perira and Paulina (Neves) Perry.
Before retiring in 1985, Mrs. Pina was employed with Shields, Inc for over 28 years and previously employed with Swank Co for 5 years.
She was the mother of George Pina, Jr of Preston, CT, Edward Pina of Taunton, Richard Pina of Bellingham, Priscilla Silva of Raynham and Arlene Nunes of Taunton, sister of Dorothy Barros of East Taunton and Margaret Barboza of New Bedford. Julia was the grandmother of 11, great-grandmother of 35 and great-great grandmother of 7. She was also the sister of nine deceased brothers and three deceased sisters.
Mrs. Pina’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10 am in the Baptist Church of All Nations 61 Winthrop St., Taunton MA 02780.
Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
