Obituary

LOWELL—Lois B. (Butler) Flanagan, 84, a longtime resident of Lowell, died early Wednesday evening, August at Wingate at Andover, after a brief illness.

She was born in Little Falls, N.Y., on September 14, 1920, daughter of the late Stanley C. and Matilda (Oberkircher) Butler, and was a graduate of the Lowell Public Schools and Lowell High School, class of 1937.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Flanagan was employed for many years as an accountant by Pellon Corporation in Lowell. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church and was an avid tournament bridge player.

Surviving her are a daughter and son-in-law: Deborah M., and Gregory J. McAdams, of Lowell; two granddaughters: Sarah McAdams Corbett, and her husband David, of Charlestown; and Alexandra McAdams, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one great-grandson: Finn Oliver Corbett; two sisters: Fay Begley, of West Point, GA., and Merle Dougherty, of Newbury, NH; a brother: Stanley Butler, of Nashua, NH.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Norma Kalergis.

Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday, August 21, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte.38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Monday, August 22, at 11 a.m. at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial in the Edson Cemetery.
