Loyce L. (Churchill) Deeg, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at home on Thursday, August 18 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late John C. Deeg. Born in Hanson, Mrs. Deeg was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1930. She was a cake decorator at Malcolm’s Bakery in Stoughton and made Christmas decorations for Decor in Whitman for many years before retiring at age 68.
Mrs. Deeg is survived by her daughters, Mildred E. Deeg of Stoughton and Theresa E. Bunch of Conway, NH. She is also survived by her dear friend, Mary Good of N. Falmouth, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many other dear friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, William R. Churchill.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, August 22 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 4-6 PM.
