Laconia------Charles Frances Simpson Jr. 75, of Elm Street, Died Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Concord Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Charles was born May 31, 1941 in Firchburg, Massachusetts, son to the late Charles Frances Sr. and Mary (Sousa) Holland. He joined the United States Navy and served from 1963-1967 and later joined the United Stated Army Reserves. He was a laborer for Louis and Saunders for several years and later worked at Watts Regulator. He most recently was employed for Joyce Janitorial.
Charles enjoyed antiquing, yard sales, going to the beach, writing, New England Sports teams, collecting military memorabilia and the Arts. He especially enjoyed theatre and was in a few plays himself. Charles will be remembered most for his since of humor.
Charles is survived by his son, Charles "Charlie" F. Simpson IV of Laconia; two daughters, Amanda Laramie and her husband, Norman of Laconia and Lori Thompson and her husband, Michael of New Market; four grandchildren, Gavin, Madeline, Joseph and Lillian; his fiancée, Shirley Chamberlin of Loudon and two step-sons, Chris and James Dominic both of Sanbornton. He is predeceased by his parents.
There will be no calling hours.
A Celebration of his life will be held, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
Burial will be private.
