Barbara H. Papianou, 91, Barbara passed away on the Feast Day of St. Barbara, Sunday, December 4, 2016. Born in Texarkana, TX on February 11, 1925 she was the daughter of Robert and Betty Ollinger. During her teen years she moved from Dallas, TX to San Diego, California. While living there she was employed by the US Government at North Island Naval Air Station. Moving from California she settled in Massachusetts with her husband Christo Papianou, who predeceased her in 1984. Barbara retired from Walbaums Food Mart with many years of service. After retirement she enjoyed sewing, shopping, cooking and watching her favorite NBA players especially Stephen Curry. Barbara is survived by her daughter Penelope Kosiorek, and her husband David of East Longmeadow, her two grandchildren, Justin and Danielle, brother in law Francis Papianou and several nieces and nephews. Barbara shall be remembered as a kind, hard working woman with a giving heart. Private services for Barbara will be celebrated at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA.
