Joan D. Morley
Retired Walmart Sales Associate

TEWKSBURY: Joan D. (Redmond) Morley, age 79, a resident of Tewksbury for over 20 years, passed away at the Heritage Nursing Center in Lowell on Friday, December 9, 2016.

She was the beloved wife of Edward L. Morley with whom she celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on May 20, 2016.

Born in Boston on October 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Redmond and the late Mary R. (Flannigan) Redmond.

Joan was raised in South Boston and the South End. She attended South Boston schools.

She resided in Norfolk and Peabody until moving to Tewksbury.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a sales associate at the Tewksbury Walmart Store.

She enjoyed sewing and traveling to Arizona.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Judith Connolly of Bellingham; three sons, Stephen Morley of E. Greenwich, RI, Kenneth Morley of Prescott, AZ and Christopher Morley of Lowell; one brother, John Redmond of Merrimack, NH; four sisters, Carole Connor and Judith Orlando both of Walpole, Rita Parvey of Gardner, and Patricia Coughlin of Wrentham; ten grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Joan was the sister of the late Thomas Redmond and Paul Redmond.

Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 16, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 150 Appleton St., Lowell, MA 01852.
