GILMANTON---Hilton Hammond Herrington, Jr., 53, died on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.
Hilton was born May 25, 1963 in Providence, Rhode Island, son to the late Dorothy (Hall) and Hilton H. Herrington, Sr. He was a trouble shooter for Jiffy Lube working in stores through the northeast to streamline the stores procedures and processes, until he lost his sight in 1997. From there Hilton became a landlord where he managed multiple housing facilities until retiring to New Hampshire in 2006.
Hilton is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Bethany (MacDonald) Herrington; two step children, Josh MacDonald of RI and Katy McComb of NH, 3 grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Baker of RI and Ora Killebrew of MD; a brother, Raymond Braddock of RI,as well as countless nieces, nephews and cousins all of whom were special to him. Hilton leaves behind his dog, Tiara who is 15, given to him by his loving sister Dotty. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his sister, Gladys Metts.
Hilton became a recipient of a kidney transplant in 2001 and would like to ask all his friends and family to sign up to be organ donors to save a life.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, December13, 2016 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH, using the Carriage House entrance.
A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00pm also at the funeral home.
