Elizabeth (Branch) Green, 81, of New Bedford died Tuesday August 16, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of John S. Green.
Born in Cordova, Alabama, the daughter of the late Austin and Aquilla (Johnson) Branch, she lived in New Bedford for the past 60 years.
She was a member of the Union Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board.
Mrs. Green was formerly employed as a machine operator at Cornell-Dubilier and Aerovox until her retirement.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Lawrence Green of San Diego, CA, Glenn Green of New Bedford, and Otis Green of Sacramento, CA; a daughter, Brenda Gonsalves of Newport, RI; two brothers, Rollins Branch of Jackson, Mississippi, and Warren Branch of Cordova, Alabama; a sister, Lucille Miller of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late McKinley Branch, Otis Branch and Ethelyn Fletcher.
Her Funeral Services will be private. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
