Joaquim Semiao passéd away August 17, 2005 at St. Lukes Hospital . He was 83 years of age. Mr. Semiao was the husband of the late Estrella (Sylvia) Semiao and was the Father of Jack Semiao of No. Reading, Mass. and Randall Semiao of Coral Gables, Fla. He was the Brother of John Semiao, Antone Gomes, Lionel and Ronald Semiao, Lola Mach, Julia Benton and Dolores Gillett all of the Greater New Bedford area . He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren several Nieces and Nephews and a deceased Sister Mary Camara and deceased Brother Manuel Semiao
Mr.Semiao was born in New Bedford, Mass. And was a son of the late Manuel and Olivia (DeJesus) Semiao. He lived most of his life in New Bedford He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and worked at Rural Cemetery and also as a Fish Lumber until his retirement
Graveside service will take place at Rural Cemetery on Friday August 19, 2005 at 9 AM.
