Camille E Pepin 91, of Virginia Ave died December 5, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne R (Frappier) Pepin for sixty one years. Born in North Smithfield, he was a son of the late Camille H. and Lea F. (Poirier) Pepin. He founded C. Pepin & Son Lumber Company on August 20, 1947. He owned and operated the company along with his wife for many years. It is now the family business and being run by his children. He was a member of the RI Lumbermen’s Association and was awarded Lumberman of the Year in 1990. He was also a member of the North East Lumbermen’s Association. Mr. Pepin served in the US Army during WWII and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of the American French Genealogical Societies, the DAV, the United Veteran Council, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. Camille enjoyed fishing. He raised chickens and loved dairy cows. He enjoyed traveling with his RV and riding horses and competed in horse shows throughout New England and Canada.
Besides his wife he leaves his children, Elise Houle and her husband Roger, Denise Levreault and her husband Paul, Jeanne Budnick and her husband Kenneth all of Woonsocket, Camille W. Pepin of North Smithfield, Louise Sutherland and her husband Russell of Manville and Gisele Lambert and her husband Doug of Gilford, NH, two sisters Constance Rossi of NH and Simone Girard of Rochester NY, grandchildren, Denise and Chris Blanchette of Woonsocket, Paul and Kasey Levreault of Mapleville, Cam Sutherland of Manville, Steven Budnick of Woonsocket, Rachel Budnick of NY, Elise and David Ronan of Guilford, NH, and Sgt. Tim and Courtney Lambert of GA, and great-grandchildren Cole Blanchette, Kyla and Wyett Lambert, Eoghan, Patriac, and Searlotte Levreault, and Conner Ronan. He was predeceased by his
brothers-in -law Sylvio Rossi and Jean Girard.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Visiting Hours are Friday 4-8 PM.
