NEW BEDFORD -- Paul L. Wilkinson, 68, of New Bedford died Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, at The Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the widower of Patty Lu Lindeman.
Born in New Bedford, he was the son of Vivian (Gonsalves) Wilkinson of Dartmouth and the late Elmer L. Wilkinson.
A graduate of New Bedford High School, he served in the United States Coast Guard, Air Force and Naval Reserve, and was a longtime member of Grace Episcopal Church.
A mechanic by trade, he was employed over the years at the Kittansett Golf Club, Ashley Ford, Andrews Lincoln-Mercury, Barboza of Fall River, Allied Auto Parts and recently at Benny's in Fairhaven.
He especially loved woodworking and walking his companion cocker spaniel, Kiley.
Survivors include his mother; a son, Dennis Wilkinson of Dover, N.H.; a daughter, Linda Esposito of Warren, R.I.; a brother, Richard Arnold of Palmer; and four grandchildren.
His funeral will take place at 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2005, in Grace Episcopal Church, 422 County St., New Bedford, Ma.
