Alexander, William B. Jr. – of Woburn, August 16. beloved husband of Joanne (MacDonald). Devoted father of William Alexander and his wife Leanne of Hull, Mark Alexander and his wife Susanne of Woburn. Loving grandfather of William J. and Mac S. Alexander. Son of William B. Alexander of Woburn and the late Lucille M. (Morrison). Brother of Janet Garrity and her husband David of Woburn, Carol Vigilante and her husband John of Duxbury and the late Maureen Lainhart. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn on Friday, August 19, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery Woburn. Late US Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War. William B. Alexander Jr. Age 59, passed away at his home early Tuesday morning, August 16, surounded by his loving and caring family. He was the husband of Joanne (MacDonald).
Born in Boston and raised in Norwood, He is the son of William B. Alexander of Woburn and the late Lucille M. (Morrison). He and his family moved to Woburn when he was a young boy, he attended Woburn schools and graduated Woburn High School class of 1964. Upon graduation he enterd the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. While serving he married his wife Joanne and have been married for forty years. After the Marine Corps he started Alexanders electrical company which he operated untill last year when he became disabled.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, he loved to travel and follow sports especially the Boston teams. He enjoyed following the stock market and followed the growth of the Woburn Boys Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, William Alexander and his wife Leanne of Hull, Mark Alexander and his wife Susanne. Two grandsons William J. and Mac S. Alexander. His father William B. Alexander of Woburn. Two sisters Janet Garrity and her husband David of Woburn, Carol Vigilante and her husband John of Duxbury. Also several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Lucille M. (Morrison) and his sister Maureen Lainhart.
His funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, on Friday, August 19, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn at 10. Services will conclude with military honors at Woodbrook Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
