Kathryn McCrary Porter, 77, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Porter at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2016, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, December 2, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Wesley Belk, Keith Belk, Adam Sailer, Horace Belk, Chris Green and Leland Frazier will serve as pallbearers.
Born August 26, 1939 in Tifton, Mrs. Porter was the daughter of the late George C. McCrary and Doris Fletcher McCrary. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ret. TSGT Monroe “Monty” Porter, who died August 22, 2015; and one brother, C. M. McCrary. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and retired from Sun Trust Bank.
Mrs. Porter is survived by a God-son, Keith Belk of Tifton; a God-daughter, Schonda Sailer of Tifton; an aunt, Susie Frazier; a cousin, Leland Frazier; special friends, Wesley and Elaine Belk; and her care-givers, Joyce Hill and Wendy Lofton.
